I created a series of illustrations to amplify diverse voices of modern Ireland. This illustration is of Bulelani Mfaco, an activist, human rights advocate and spokesperson for the Movement of Asylum Seekers in Ireland. As someone living in Direct Provision, Buleani has spent the past two and a half years speaking with Irish people about how this institution strips asylum seekers of their human rights to privacy, dignity and personal autonomy.
