I created a series of illustrations to amplify diverse voices of modern Ireland. This illustration is of Zainab Boladale, a broadcaster and journalist who was the first Irish person of African heritage to work on Ireland’s main news broadcast station, RTE. She is fluent in Irish and is part of an exciting upcoming group of women of colour breaking new ground in Irish media.
